Happy New Year!

We had a white Christmas in Richmond the weekend before going to New York to celebrate with my family. The night it started snowing, we hung out with friends... Ellie was having so much fun that she stayed up to 10 o'clock! The next day, we packed Ellie and Lucy up and went driving around the neighborhood to see the winter wonderland... It was less than a year ago that we were doing the same thing just a day or two before Ellie was born!







We had "Christmas" dinners with Emmie and Granddaddy. Ellie has a new favorite toy - the gerty ball. I highly recommend it ~ Ellie is captivated with all the little nubs on the ball!




Then we headed to New York to spend the week with my family...the ten hour car ride was not too much fun, but Ellie and Lucy were great. We celebrated Christmas Eve with my aunt and uncle at their home and then Christmas with another aunt, uncle, and cousins at my parents' house. We all loved watching Ellie open presents Christmas morning. She would have been happy with just the first present she opened...she continued to play with it while we all opened the other presents! My mom, sister Sandi and I finally were able to find sometime to have afternoon tea the Garden City Hotel (which was a birthday present for my mom TWO years ago!) Another highlight was getting to see my girlfriends from highschool ~ next time I'll have to get a picture of the tots instead of the mom ;)
