Back from the Beach

We had a great time in North Carolina with Great-Grannie-Nannie (this is what Ellie calls Cary's nannie) and Emmie!
Ellie was so excited to get her suit on and head to the beach! This is the first morning :)

She LOVED playing in the sad and it was usually an ordeal to get her to leave the beach :) PS - Aunt Sandra and Uncle Dan - this suit is ADORABLE and is a favorite - the hat was worn as well!!

We (I) dug a hole that lasted for days!

We did lots of walking... Cary and I had blisters on our feets from our 5 mile walks on day 1 and 2... guess we need to ease into the beach walking next time.

Ellie did not LOVE the water as we expected... We did get her to walk through it by galloping like a horse...the other beach-goers must have thought that was an interesting sight :) She started changing her mind on the last day at the beach just as we were leaving...typical!

Cary and Ellie put the flag up every morning and took it down every evening - this was a favorite activity - Ellie kissed it goodnight a couple of times!
